FEFCO types

Slotting type boxes are generally made from one piece of a combination of corrugated cardboard and solid board. They feature glued flaps and are stitched or taped. They are delivered folded flat and are ready to use after quick assembly. They close with the top and bottom flaps provided.

The term FEFCO generally describes the box design from corrugated or solid cardboard. The European Associations of corrugated and solid cardboard manufacturers have developed a code defining the exact design of individual cardboard packaging materials.

The designs are sub-divided into slotted packaging materials, transport packaging materials as well as cushioning and protective edges.
