Kraft paper is the paper type with the highest strength. The paper is made of 100% cellulose fibres with added starch, alum and size. It is the only paper suitable for paper bags, as no other paper can withstand the high fill weights.
Depending on intended use, there is also bituminous or plastic-coated Kraft paper – also called packing paper.
Kraft paper:
- high tensile strength and tear resistance
- from long-fibre kraft cellulose
- bleached or unbleached
